A zoom boom
In all crises, there always exist winners and losers. Coronavirus lockdown nationwide has created a global crisis in which most industries became stagnant, and activities went online accordingly. Meanwhile, web conferencing stood out as a clear winner from Covid-19 pandemic.
Even before the pandemic, the video conferencing market already witnessed an upward trend in use, but the number of online meeting participants has truly hit its peak since March 2020, the onset of Covid-19. An increasing number of subscribers were seen in a majority of video conferencing platforms among which Zoom is miles ahead of its competition.

Boostlingo has made a significant step, yet when we look at the overall demand on the video conferencing market, it can be said that this is only the beginning. “The area of web conferencing had seen rapid growth and was forecast to grow at a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.4 percent and reach a market size of USD 5.4 billion by 2025. Since the onset of the pandemic, the market for video conferencing software is now estimated at USD 8.2 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach USD 12.8 billion by 2025 at a CAGR of 9.2 percent.” (by Nimzi). Therefore, Boostlingo still needs to take better upgrades in near future to ensure its popularity in such a cut-throat competition.
